“Even while I was working in the corporate world I always aspired to help others. When the opportunity presented itself to join Mebane Charitable Foundation and I interviewed with Mr. Mebane, it became obvious that he had amazing vision and a great mission to help educate our children in the very best way possible. Needless to say, I share his vision and I’m committed to insuring the important works of this Foundation make a positive impact, not only in Davie County, but in North Carolina and beyond.”

Judy Averitte
Assistant Secretary of the Foundation Board and Office Administrator
Mrs. Averitte’s thoughts about Mebane Charitable Foundation-
“My forty-year association with Allen Mebane provided many valuable lessons, some through experience and some from observation. Two of the most recent, and perhaps the most consequential: the importance of giving back to others from that with which one has been blessed; and the fact that age should never be used as an excuse to rest on your laurels - find something you are passionate about and work to effect change.”
